Picture of the week: Lino cut fun
A friend of ours stayed recently and wanted to make some 'calling' cards for his Paladin D&D character. I showed him the process -
1. Do a simple drawing
2. Trace it onto a lino block
3. Cut it all out using blades safely
4. Choose your ink, spread it, roll it and ink your Lino cut
5. Press it
You can do this with almost anything that will allow a relief cut - spuds, bits of wood, clay. And you can 'press' with the back of a large spoon. Or be really random and ink up found objects with flattish surfaces; and make abstract art.
