The past ties us into the future

 

Our history of conquest and exploitation gave us wealth that still endures. Our masters tell us that it was for the good of the 'other'. But, to paraphrase the Nigerian musician Fela Kuti, 'you gave us Christianity, and took our gold, oil and people to sell elsewhere as slaves'. Wakey wakey time!
